Ridge upon ridge

With the clouds almost mirroring the Cullin mountain ridges, it can be difficult to work out where the land stops and the sky begins.
A brief archaeological stroll with Tricia to a very robbed out chambered cairn before returning to Baleshare in the hope of catching up with the Gyr.
Arrived to find a big Hebridean twitch - two cars, three people and four dogs. And of course the Gyr had flown off a minute before. It wasn't helped by being shown a stunning photo of it just before it's untimely departure.
A fairly long wait hoping it might return to its pile of stones without too much expectation and I was just about to give up when we got a phone call saying the bird was back next to the road I'd just come along.
A quick return and there is was on a cairn - for about twenty seconds.
Stunning bird however.....
