Frilly Pinks

It may not look much but I'm quite proud of this flower.

After B&S's wedding, two years ago, we divided up the floral arrangements and distributed them to family and friends. I was charged with delivering some to one of their neighbours, who had been very generous to them. Before I left she offered me a cutting from some pinks from her garden, telling me they were quite unusual. I divided the piece into five and potted them up.

They sat on my kitchen windowsill for a year, two of them were rooted well enough to plant out this spring and here they are, in full flower, (albeit somewhat bedraggled in the rain), big enough to give cuttings themselves.
