Eat cake

Our good friend and neighbour Sarah is celebrating her 50th birthday (thigh she certainly doesn't look like she should be). A week ago her daughter, Liberty, turned 16th and so they arranged a joint party.

I spent the morning baking six Madeira sponges for Liberty's lovely tiered fruit cake on the left and Sarah put together the awesome cheese 'cake' on the right.

The party was as fabulous as the cakes. Though Mia and I did arrive around eight, see the crowd of people and scurried home only to return later once the young children had been escorted to their beds and everyone was in the party spirit. And we made some new friends!
