Babe's Chicken Dinner House, located in a 1908 warehouse in Roanoke, Texas was named after the owner Mary Beth Vinyard, whose nickname was "Babe". There are 9 Babe's restaurants around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, but the one in Roanoke is the original. The main dishes at Babe's are Fried Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak with Green Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Cream Gravy, Grandma's Corn and Buttermilk Biscuits.
