Quinceañera

Today, we visited Vizcaya -- the beautiful Italian Renaissance style villa belonging to International Harvester heir James Deering.  He built his beautiful house in Miami, and wintered there from 1916 until his death in 1925.  It's now a museum, and you can tour the interior of the house as well as its magnificent gardens.

The grounds are a popular spot for quinceañeras to be photographed.  These are Latin American fifteen year old girls who celebrate their coming of age with elaborate parties and costumes.  This young lady was in the midst of a professional photo shoot when we arrived at Vizcaya this morning.

The extra shot is of the rooftops of Vizcaya, taken (illegally!) through some wonderful old window panes.  Those are not raindrops you see, but just bubbled glass.
