Frozen Clickimin
It remains calm and cold but cloudy today. The morning started with light snowy showers, they cleared for a dry afternoon. There has been rain this evening and the wet roads are now starting a hard freeze!
I've had another busy day in the museum office. There seems to have been plenty of orders for photos coming in just now. There has also been plenty of school visits in the museum this morning. I had been taking a few photos for our new website. This afternoon I have been setting up for an event tomorrow, and it's an early start for me too, 8am!! Finished work and dashed off to work in the pub. It's been a steady night of work and rumours starting about a new accommodation barge coming to Scalloway. A quiet night with the telly and the sofa ahead :)
I took advantage of the fine afternoon and headed for a walk around Lerwick. I ended heading around the Clickimin loch. This has been the longest cold spell in 6 years and you can notice it when you pass all the lochs around Shetland, they are all frozen. They might be frozen on the surface, but I still wouldn't want to step on it. This is the frozen Clickimin loch, with the Clickimin broch behind, Lerwick.
