Today's the day ............................ to practise

Off to choir practice tonight.

One of the pieces we're singing in the next concert is Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Magnificat - you can hear a bit of it here.  However, there seems to be a bit of a question hanging over it as to whether it was actually Pergolesi who composed it - or was it one of his teachers, Franceso Durante.  Whoever the composer was, I can tell you that it's quite hard to sing.  It seems to go much faster than you expect - and there's far too many latin words to fit in to the music. 

Just as well then, that I always sit next to my friend Valerie (the one with the nice scarf).  She feels much the same way as I do - and we can commiserate with each other .......................
