Snow drops

I was feeling positive about my photography today - I got an email to say one of my photos will be published in the March issue of Digital Photo magazine (it's not a great photo, but it is for their section 'It works for me') It is the first time I have ever submitted anything to a magazine, so I was pleased they chose my photo. Then I got another email from the editor of Surrey Life magazine to say I could collect a framed photo of my image that was selected for their annual calendar, now that the exhibition was over. Yikes, it's the first time one of my photos has even been in an exhibition and I forgot to go see the exhibition, which is rather annoying.

We don't have many snowdrops around here this year - plenty of crocuses and there are even blossoms on trees already, but hardly any snowdrops. However, I found a tiny patch on my dog walk today and was determined to get some photos, but it was blowing a gale and when using a macro lens a gale becomes like a hurricane. It was so difficult to get a shot as they were constantly being blown about and consequently  it was impossible to focus. This is the best of a bad lot, I will try again on a calmer day.

Gavin has just texted me from Los Angeles, he was sitting next to Arnold Schwarzenegger at breakfast - I wonder if he said 'I'll be back' as he left the restaurant!
