Let us prey

I came home to carnage today!

We have a sparrow hawk that nests nearby, and although we've never seen it, we know when it's been as there's always a heap of feathers in the garden.

I almost saw it today; I went out to inspect the body and the hawk was still feeding, but as I realised this, it flew off!

I set up my phone to video from the conservatory, feeling convinced the hawk would return to finish his dinner, but sadly to no avail.
