Diary of an Edinburgher

Wind? What wind?

What a tennis match this morning! With Murray managing to come right at the end of five sets. Fortunately, our visitors arrived later than they intended, and so I could see the match right to the end - excellent timing.

C and her mum -visiting from down south - came ready with wellies, big coats and daft woolly hats for a pre-dinner (lunch) walk up the Hill with Archie. And some walk it was too! Not many dog walkers out in the gale! Wonder why...

We had to clutch on to each other to make it up to the summit, and when we got there, we were just about blown OFF! It must have been a Force 9 gale up there. We managed to clutch on to the bench and huddle together for some silly photos with wind-crazed expressions, trying to keep hats on - my iPhone was nearly blown out of my hands!

More clutching on to each other on the way down, trying to avoid being swept off our feet. Archie, with four feet, had great fun running between us. Back home to a well deserved G&T before dinner (lunch).

Thanks for dragging us all up there today, Archie - it was fun!
