Depth of field
Not sure that came out quite how I hoped, but that's what you get for trying to take a slightly technical shot (model boat in background, very slightly blurry teenager holding Kindle in the foreground) without looking at any of the settings first. Ah well. As it turned out the only other photo I took all day was Conor jumping into a pool, so this will have to do.
We went to meet our friends from Castres up at a lake in the mountains, for picnicking, swimming and chat. However, since we couldn't see the mountains in the clouds, we had a quick change of plan and went to some lakes in the valley instead. The sun obligingly came out and a fine picnic was had. The teenager belongs to our friends' friends who were there too, in case you thought I was just borrowing a random teenager.
The kids were a bit disappointed by the lack of swimming at the lakes (bit chilly for that, we felt) so we were invited back to swim in the pool... and have a wee glass of wine... and then suddenly we were staying for dinner and the night. Again! I'm sure I said I was never doing that again last time.
Anyway, a fine night, with much chat and nonsense and a very late bedtime.
