Happy Easter

Added after posting: It may be an idea to read my Monday's opening paragraph before trying to vaguely follow the dribble today.

Grüß Gott liebe Blipen - Ich heisse Hans und bin neu bei Blip... ba-va-ri-a, deutsch, Germany .... ah jawohl, OK: -I muzt rite in Englisch?

Top of the morning happy Blipers, hello my name is Hans and I am new to Blip. Sometimes have problems with your English sayings: things like  "One swallow does not a summer make" even though I learnt at school only we Germans put the verb at the end. I live in Bavaria not in "cloud cuckoo-land" as suggested by Nogbad in yesterdays comments.

After yesterdays spring arrival, we now have carnival, lent, strong beer season behind us and can enjoy Easter, just as it always is, with a bit of snow to give the egg hunting a bit of an extra thrill.

Took off for Ottobeuren, the basilica car park full - tends to only happen on Christmas Eve and Easter. The Bannwald car park also full and on the walk we had to keep springing out of the way of hoards of weirdly, skimpily dressed joggers in spring fever and desperate to work off the winter fat ready for tomorrows opening of the open air baths. Luckily the Barbie revamp this week means they don't need to lose quite so many kilos, a bit of rounding up out is "in" now.

Back home found the geese had already opened the season moving from the glass-fibre pool to the unauthorised puddle to do their spring mating. Until dawn today, I thought we didn't get any rain last night with the remains of the UK storm - normally hear the raindrops on the roof windows. Now I know why - no rain, just silent snow!

Have to answer a fellow Blipers- lovelupins17- question from yesterday:
Q: Do our geese have blue eyes?
A: No, they are refugees who were smuggled past the new border controls which look for Aryan blonde hair and blue eyes. So long as they respect local traditions, don't bite me, contribute to the GDP with a few eggs , then we will keep them safe from 11th November. This rather strange note is simply to remind me that Angie has popped over to see her mother today and so the dogs and I can watch a bit of skiing, sledging, ski-jumping on the box this afternoon.

Regards from sunny snowy Bavaria
Hans
