I'm thrilled with the new dining furniture.

It was the delivery that caused a nightmare. We purchased the furniture nine days ago on a special Martin Luther King Jr. holiday sale and the sale included "free delivery."

The delivery company's advertisement claimed they are a national company that work 24/7 and have next day delivery. We found the company to be nearly impossible to work with.

The store we purchased the furniture from -- Cost-Plus World Market -- finally gave us a sizable discount because of the delivery issue. So today we drove to San Luis Obispo so the store could refund our credit card.

Then we drove north to Paseo Robles to look for a couple items in the JC Penney store, where I was reminded that we are in a region without much population. The Penneys store was very small and without a "home furnishings" dept. The best help I received from the store clerk was to shop online. That is not exactly what I want to do when looking for furniture. So the "hunt" for furniture continues.
