2017 Monday -- Painted Sky
The Sundown Show & Afterglow today were beyond amazing. We returned from a 90-minute walk on the beach with the 3 pups and sat in the quiet of our little house watching as the view went from bright sun to no sun to clouds on fire and then ever so gradually the colors all drained and then the music of the waves seemed to magnify. It was all so enjoyable.
Earlier we had been to Los Osos to get some of Stephanie's delicious soup at the Farmers Market and to do our weekly grocery shopping at the big super market. I spent more money than usual because I purchased many of the spices that I have not had here: ground mustard seed, cocoa, ceyenne, baking soda, baking powder, "smokey" paprika, and several others I'm not remembering now. Gosh spices are expensive! I'm hoping to make some chili that resembles the flavor of Skyline Chili that we enjoyed years ago in Cinninnati. I've received a couple of recipes for chili and lots of spices are needed.
So that's the story for today.
