A patient patient
Popped to the hospital today for my pre-op admin - although why it's about three weeks prior to the event I don't know. I was informed it could be three hours. Well, I was away for FIVE hours! So it was definitely not a "pop".
Just as well I hadn't really believed them, and asked J to come and take Archie out (with Bailey) mid morning. Which she did.
I was sitting there for an hour before I was even weighed! Then another hour before I had blood taken (and a swab up my nose to test for MRSA bug!). Then another hour to wait to see the surgeon. I was so glad I was able to use my phone and listen to a couple of TED talks and Women's Hour on Radio 4, as well as chat to a lady who had waited even longer than me before being seen, and she was a farmer from the Borders and could not spare hours sitting around doing nothing when there was lambing to be done.
When I eventually got home (another 37 minutes to wait for the bus) I managed to do a few chores before settling down on the sofa at last. Swimming did not enter my mind.
And taking a photo did not enter my mind either.
Besides, the selfies that J sent from Blackford Hill made me chuckle.
