Fire going, wine on the way

Thankfully a trouble free journey from Northampton to Bowness via Kendel to fill up with fuel. The reserve car performed well despite the lack of space.

We arrived at Booths Cafe to find all the soup had gone so we had to make do with a toastie and tea. Spent a happy hour shopping for the week only to come out to find the rain tipping down. Not unusual of course.

It doesn't seem a year ago we were last in this luxury "cottage" overlooking Windermere and with far reaching views to the Langdales, but it's good to be back.
