A slice of Lesley's life

Nana

No, it's not the square. Today took an unplanned turn around 4am with the patter of not so tiny feet running to the bathroom to herald the arrival of the norovirus in the house. Anna first and hopefully last. The worst thing (well apart from a day on continuous vomit clear up) was probably how frightened she was. We think she might have been sick once before but none of us can remember when and the shock of the whole thing made her a little panicky.

Somehow despite this 80% of us managed to get up and going at the right time, Carl took Albi for an early park outing before staying home with Anna whilst I took J to the school meeting. The meeting went really well and we have come up with a further plan for the next stage of Operation School Return.

What there wasn't today was any time for sitting down and proper undistracted working. So instead the fridge has had the overhaul I have been wanting to give it for ages. And rather satisfactorily it has received actual unprompted compliments. Strange the things that make you happy in your 40s.

There was a late evening walk for Albi but sadly too late for the square.

And now there will be a very early night in the hope of some catch-up sleep and just in case there is another early alarm call...

We've had a helping paw with the nursing.
