Make our own entertainment

I was to pick up Dan and Abi from their mum's, this evening, at about half-five and then run Dan over to a friend's house to stay the night as they're off to Halifax for the day, tomorrow. However, by the time we'd reminded Dan of all the things he'd need apart from his guitar - resulting in multiple trips back upstairs for a change of clothes, his toothbrush etc - it was six o'clock when we left the house.

I knew it'd take us 40 minutes to get to Dan's friends house, which is near Settle, and then another 25 minute drive back to Kirkby. Not much fun for Abi. So I suggested that we go and visit the Booths in Settle to do our shopping rather than going back to our own one in Kirkby. Somehow, in between Abi listing reasons why I should buy a TV, we managed to get quite excited about this, and, once we'd dropped Dan off, had some fun comparing this unexplored Booths with our own. 

Sometimes you do have to make your own entertainment.
