Today's the day .................... to hand over

One of the reasons why we are down in this part of Wales is that tonight we were guests of honour at the Trapp Annual Agricultural Show Dinner.

You may remember that last July, we went to the Show as Presidents and spent a very enjoyable day handing out prizes and carrying out other presidential duties.  Well tonight our year was up - and it was time to hand over to this year's President, John Jones (or 'Jones TV' as he is known locally because he has a business selling electrical goods).

It was a great night - with the most enormous amount of food on offer - and all of it delicious.  There were speeches, handing out of awards, a raffle - and much jovial Welsh banter.  It was rural community spirit at its very best .......................
