Where Is The Kilt?
The scabbard was fun......
A single piece of wood, cut in two and hollowed out to the shape of the blade (tapered both length ways and from top to cutting edge) so that it doesn't fall out when held upside down - then glued back together before sanding, sealing and varnishing.
The other completed piece - Cedar (smelt great when turning it) with burnished copped leaf applied to the bowl.
Not quite as I had hoped ......... but Hey Ho!.
There was a bit of a break in the clouds this afternoon so I took the Cygnet puddle jumping while SWMBO and Bags (formally known as daughter) arranged flights for going to No1 sons wedding next year.
The light in the trees (yes - it is trees ........ no - it is not somebodies eye) was rather nice, but I was not allowed time to spend time getting everything right.
I even managed to get a gatepost for Dotty (no gate though).
the only thing that the Cygnet was able to get a shot of at the park was the roundabout ..... everything else was too wet.
Still - there were a few puddles for the Cygnet to jump in so it wasn't all bad.
I did have to rescue him though at one point when he got stuck in some mud and didn't have the strength to pull himself out ........ he nearly left his wellies there when I gave him a hand.
