I was too exhausted to blip this last night by the time we eventually arrived home.

This was the view we had for the four hours that it took us to travel 10 miles on the M6 motorway.  The problem was that the 10 miles was between us and our exit junction from the motorway.  So there was absolutely nothing we could do but sit there, slowly crawling forward from time to time.  Mind you, some people did lose all patience eventually - and very dangerously ploughed across the central reservation and then somehow joined the traffic heading back northwards in the opposite carriageway.

The most annoying thing of all was that when we eventually did get to our exit, mysteriously the traffic was moving again - as if nothing had ever happened.  We didn't pass anything that might have been the cause of the problem - it was obviously one of life's little (and totally exhausting) problems .................................
