Discection

Long day. Much of it spent helping the heating guy. For the brief period when I managed to get out into the garden, Mr B was helping him, resulting in a broken watch and lacerated finger (we're going 'lalala' about whether it needs stitches).

In the afternoon I got a bit shirty with the heating guy who seems to have missed a lot of things out of his quote, but we parted on good terms after a very amusing tri-lingual phone call with an Italian engineer.

More of the same tomorrow, including some unexpected bricklaying.

Later, Mr B really pulled out all the stops for a dinner of many curries, and some dissection of a large beetle in the (cooked) mushrooms, that happily turned out to just be a good looking cardamom pod.

Later still, Independence Day and the kids claiming they are not as naughty as the kids in Outnumbered. Hmmmm.
