The motto of The Lost Abbey -- yes, another brewery -- means "In these wild yeasts we trust". From this, beer geeks will know that they brew Belgian-style beers. There is no apparent connection with any abbey -- lost or not -- they brew in a nondescript business park in San Marcos, just a few miles from where we are staying.

We tasted a few beers there after a hearty breakfast this morning. They were quite good, but we were more impressed with the sour beers at Toolbox Brewing Company just a little further west. That was our second port of call today. See extra, and check out the tap handles!

Tomorrow we'll take a break from beer tasting to visit one of Cynthia's relatives in Anaheim. It's been about twenty years since they've seen each other. I probably won't have to talk much!
