Spare time for wine

Stopped by the Yacht Club for a glass of wine and a coffee with our daughter Claire.
Not that a visit to a waterfront marina is  anything new for her — there is plenty of waterborne activity on the Mediterranean coast where she lives, and the marinas there are perhaps even more bustling than Ocean Village.
The craft though are rather different with the accent in the south of France more on motor cruisers than sail yachts, although the love for sailing is the same.
Again, I will spend hours just relaxing on the waterfront, content to watch the world go by. But perhaps that’s the nature of the Mediterranean temperament.

Admittedly Claire’s visit to the Royal Southampton was primarily accompanying me with publishing duties I needed to undertake at the Club but nevertheless she and I were able to enjoy, spend a half hour relaxing and drink in something of the atmosphere. And the wine and coffee!
