Day 61 of 366 - The Original Blue Coat School!
The photo was taken early this evening in the City Centre of Coventry. It is a view of the Old Blue Coat School. This Grade II* listed structure was originally built and opened in 1714 as the first Charity School for girls in Coventry. The current building as seen here was opened in 1857 after been rebuilt on the same site. The site was originally part of the original St Mary's Cathedral (the first of Coventry's three Cathedrals). The evidence of this can be seen today in the cellars of the building which are actually inside one of the original pillars of the Cathedral, these date back to around 1150AD.
The photo was taken using the App PureShot on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the image. I straightened the image, then applied the Tonal contrast and HDR Scape filters. After I applied a little extra brightness and saturation to the picture. Next I used the app Camera Awesome to add the Awesomize setting and texture preset called Big Trouble. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Tone filter, Vibrant FX, the Canvas texture and the Leather frame.
