Bridge of Life

At last the rain stopped & we went to the Japanese Garden which is part of the Irish National Stud in Kildare.

It is supposed to represent the Life of Man as you walk around it.

You can choose the Easy or the Rugged path, being adventurous the Toads took the Rugged way which was little slippy stone paths, stepping stones & steps.

You pass through the Tunnel of Ignorance up the Hill of Learning through the Parting of the ways over the Marriage Bridge where you meet an obstical ( a rockery) & have to go differant ways signifying a differance of opinion
( we had a chuckle about that)
on to Disappointment then up the Hill of Ambition & over the Bridge of Life to the Garden of Peace & Contentment ( unfortunatley shared by about 6 coach loads of tourists so didn't live up to it's name!)

It was all downhill from thereon - the Chair of Old Age, then up the Hill of Mourning to the Gateway of Eternity.

such is life!
