Diary of an Edinburgher

The End

Almost nothing done today. I did have a vague notion of popping out to the beach when the sun came out about midday, and having a wee stroll - but mainly having bacon bap at the wee caravan - then getting a lift back home with JR. But my cough has developed into sudden violent cough/sneeze explosions which if I don't have a tissue handy are quite alarming. Archie - who is usually relaxing on my lap, and pretty near this action - has got used to them, and barely stirs.

I took Archie and the knee for a stroll round the block mid morning, but didn't go too far. I knew we'd take him up the Hill in the afternoon. We visited a friend in hospital - in the same ward I was in last week (I noted that semolina was on the menu - yum yum). But first we took him for a gallop. I love the way he runs between us at full tilt. It sure tires him out, with minimum effort on our part.

Back home to watch the final episode of the Aussie drama. Jings! What an ending. In that it just wasn't... Every storyline was left as a monumental cliffhanger! I Googled it, and eventually found that another series has been commissioned, thank goodness.

Archie is excited. Crufts starts tonight.
