Spent most of the day on the laptop today - was good to get things done, but would have been better to be outside.  I signed up for a free genealogy course at Strathclyde Uni, through FutureLearn, which started today, and is interesting.

Went out late afternoon to take some pictures, and saw what looked like a goldcrest in the garden (I heard it more than I saw it).  I haven't seen one of these for a while, so it's good to know that there are some still about.  The picture is a weird mossy growth on a tree.
