Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie's new friend

I took a notion today - after weeks of hinting by JR - to sort out the spare room, as we will soon have visitors. Besides, it did need sorting out, visitors or not. My computer died several months ago, and has been gathering dust since then. So I packed it up, along with miles of electric cords and speakers and the big old printer, and stuffed them in the cupboard, to await the next stage - ie how to dispose of them.

I very nearly didn't make it up the ladder while carrying the computer! And then I tripped over the hoover and lay for a while, checking that nothing was broken ( leg, hoover) with Archie fussing around me as I tried to get up. I had to sit on the sofa and snooze for an hour or so to recover.

We then had a visitor. Dexter and his mum popped in. Dexter and Archie get on fine - they're the same size. They had a good run around in the back garden - see extras - and in the lounge.

I attempted to get a photo of both of them. Well, Archie immediately posed - and kept posing - while daft Dexter jumped around, climbed on the cushions, jumped off, barked at Archie and generally tried to disrupt the photoshoot. But no. Archie could not be distracted from his duty. What a dog!
