Afternoon drive

The child woke us up nice and early - coffee at 6am this morning as he was showing no signs of going back to sleep,  best just embrace it and get up early.  It was just a beautiful morning - crisp, clean and clear, like a spring day.  I took myself off for a walk, leaving husband and child, one retired to bed, the other is way too busy for that.... 

We have some friends coming out tomorrow for the day, so decided we should recce where we are planning to camp out and have  bar.  We had a lovely late afternoon drive, three dogs came along for the ride. Piggy - the fat unfit dog was terribly proud of herself for catching a dassi, but it was eaten by one of the other, slightly more cunning dogs.  They had a great run as we drove along, going off to chase this and that.  We even saw some wharthogs - before they were chased away.
