Day 85 of 366 - The Church of St Michael!
The image for today was taken this afternoon in the Stoke area of Coventry. It is a view of the Grade II* listed Church of St Michael. There has been a Church on this site since about the year 1100. The original Church was given to the Priory of St Mary by King Stephen, however nothing remains of the first Church. The oldest part of the church that stands today is the Tower dating back to the 14th century. There have been a few additions made during the 19th and 20th Centuries that were in keeping with the original Medieval style of the Church.
The photo was taken using the App Cortex Camera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the image. I cropped and straightened the image, then I applied the Tonal Contrast preset and boosted the local contrast, ambiance and warmth. Next I used the app Brushstroke to add the Gloss G1 paint preset. I also changed the Canvas style to Vintage paper. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tone preset, the Vibrant FX, a medium dark Vignette. The then added the Canvas texture and the Leather frame.
