Riding the rails!

Only possible photo for today, despite all the scenery we are passing through. A day on the train travelling from Chicago to Los Angeles. We are passing through so many types of landscape - New England forests, (yesterday en route from Boston to Chicago), corn fields stretching for miles, prairie, mountain, high desert (cacti and tumbleweeds!), and heading for Southern California.

We have a family compartment in the train which includes our food as well. What a fantastic way to see the country, cross the country and meet lots of nice people!
