Waterfoot Sunrise

Wee Robin

So far the forecast has been wrong and it has stayed almost dry. SusiQ tells me she can still see Ailsa Craig on the horizon, which means it isn't raining and should remain dry for a while yet.

This morning we were back out in the boat, this time for a trip down the coast to the seal colony. They are really amusing to watch close up as they slither off the rocks and pop their heads up a short distance from the boat. On the way back we trawled for Mackerel for a while to replenish our stocks. The smoked Mackerel went down so well last night they are back on the menu tonight!

At this time of year there are lots of baby birds about the garden, finding out what its like to be independent and what the pecking order is at the feeder. As the food was put out for them this morning this young Robin appeared in a bush just asking to be blipped. You can see its first reddy/ orange feathers beginning to appear.

Oh no, as I finish typing the rain has come on and Ailsa Craig has disappeared! Where did that come from so quickly?
