Barren strawberry

I love the Barren stawberry Potentilla sterilis, which can be identified by the 5 evenly spaced white heart-shaped petals, with spaces between, giving it a wonderful air of a child's first attempt at drawing a flower.
It is quite common here in Sussex, but being quite small and low growing it is often overlooked, which is a shame as it it is rather beautiful.
