I went along to Powderhall to pick up a couple of essentials at B & Q and walked back beside the Water of Leith. There were some young goosanders larking about but no sign of the kingfisher - or indeed the Otter of Leith.

I was very pleased to see these primroses flourishing on the bank by Junction Bridge, because I think I may actually have planted them!
