Rüppell's Weaver

Another must see bird, especially when he is in his magnificent bright yellow breeding colours. This beauty was in the process of building a beautiful hanging nest to his weaver wife's specification. The extra is of his wife checking out one of his older creations. The one he is building is fresh and bright green and I watched him from some hours, meticulously weaving the grass into a sort of bell shape. Having an amazing holiday in Salalah, but no Kingfisher as yet....
