Incense

I've always had a passion for the smell of incense, so this afternoon I took some time out to set up and light a tiny quantity in the burner that we were brought as a present from our holidaying family (they know my weaknesses ...). I found the charcoal discs and the incense bought some years ago in St Bartholomew's in London, still effective because the incense was in a sealed plastic bag and the charcoal in the sideboard in a warm room. Even so, it's hard to light on a small scale; in the end I had to revert to using a candle and then blowing encouragingly.

Now that I'm home for a few hours, I might try with a bigger bit of charcoal ...
