Building up the chimney

I've not been to the house today as I had too many things to do before going away. Stu popped round to take a few photos and have a chat with Betty next door to check she was happy for the builders to go in her garden so they can access our roof next week. She invited him in, so he had a nice long chat with her and she is happy for the builders to do what they need to. The photo is of the bricked up chimney breast Steve was doing yesterday (and the hole in the roof where the chimney used to be).
This afternoon we started Gems birthday celebrations with an early birthday cake as Tyler was here and a few presents as we don't have enough baggage allowance to taken them all.
Mom, Dad, Gord, Stu and I went to the plough for dinner while Gem and Charlotte are out celebrating Jos 30th.
Should have an early night tonight as got to be up at 4, but think I'm too excited to sleep.
