Day 1.

Up at 4 am this morning to head to the airport. We arrived at Birmingham airport with plenty of time so hit the shops. We bored the plain and flew to Dublin where we cleared customs and got straight on our conecting flight to JFK. I managed to get a few hours sleep on the plane without missing any food and also watched two films. We landed in JFK an hour early and and due to pre clearing customs in Dublin walked straight through to baggage collection (strange but amazing).
We headed to our hotel for the night. We are staying just outside the airport in an area called Jamaica. The hotel is nice, but the area is a bit dodgy so we all jumped in a jaxi and headed to the shopping mall. We had a drink in applebees and then left the men in there while the girls (and Stu) went shopping. The make up is so cheap over here, but I managed to resist. American fashion is a bit strange so Mom Stu and I headed back to the bar. When Gem and Charl arrived back we headed to TFI's for dinner (todays photo is a quick selfi taken outside the reasturant). All fed and watered we headed back to the hotel. Stu and I were lightweights and went to bed while the hardcore lot hit the bar for a nightcap.
A very long but exciting Day.
