Crossing the road

Is somewhat of an experience in Allepey, it turned out. The constant beeping just makes it more confusing as a tourist, even though they do all mean something apparently!

The gateway to the backwaters was crowded and interesting. We were staying in an exceptionally friendly homestay with an unfortunate dog.
