A visit by the Vet

This afternoon we had our local vet visit to give our Rising 2 year old heifers a booster vaccination for Leptospirosis. All the animals on the farm are given this vaccination, in order to prevent us catching the disease.

Our Vet M, has just competed and won the New Zealand Young Farmer of the Year title. This involved competing and winning the district finals, the regional finals, and then going on to compete and winning the national final. It was a fantastic achievement for M - he won around $70,000 worth of prizes.

The sun has finally shown its head at 3.15pm today - better late than never!
