Gym
A pic from the trip to the gym yesterday. Obviously not allowed to post anything with any children in, so here's the pommel, which we did not use ;-)
A very busy day with not a moment to rest. I had a session with A after school. Mostly rehashed all the family related issues this week. It's always good to get a different perspective, and she helps me to consider things in a different way.
I came home, and crashed in the conservatory with my sister. We had a nice chat as we sat in the sun. She offered me two tickets to see Dierks Bentley at the Apollo on Friday as she can't go. I'd quite like to go, but I also said I thought she should try to go. We'll see what happens.
I went to gym this evening. Wednesdays are always my favourite as more people are there and it's always good fun. We all squished on the platform to do giants, me and four other guys. And so began a debate about whether men or women should make the first move, to which I said men, and it sparked a very heated exchange, with all the guys saying that was bollocks. I was the only girl up there so I was a bit outnumbered. I said from a selfish point of view it was easier for us if they do it, but that not all women lack a little confidence like I do. The boys informed me that they hate getting rejected, that they get the piss taken out of them by their mates etc. None of this is new. But I never realised how much it bothered them, and that was plain to see! It was all done in jest, and we were laughing, but when I got home a friend messaged me to say that he hoped I was ok, and that he hoped he hadn't offended me :-) Not at all, if anything it made me think about it all differently, and that is never a bad thing.
And so to bed. It's my class's assembly in the morning. We'll be doing this, which is one of their favourite things to do when they need a break. Usher ABC
Let's just hope it goes down well with the parents ;-)
