On entering Dalkeith Park we were surprised to find hundreds of horses and discovered that there were horse trials.  All colours of horses were taking part in Dressage, Show jumping and Crosscountry events and we decided to stay and watch.  The speed and skill of the riders and horses as they negotiated tight corners, jumps and water, was fascinating (extras) but my clearest photo is of a horse going over a jump.  Many of the horse boxes were larger than buses and even some houses and appeared to be very luxurious not only for the contestants and their supporters but also their horses.
