Outside thermometer

Today's the day ........................ to shiver

I'm sorry - it's just not good enough.

Here we are - about to go into the month of May - and this was the temperature outside in the middle of the afternoon.  The heating was on, the fire was lit.  I was huddled in front of it trying to be cheerful - while outside the sleet was lashing - not that I ventured out there. 

Please can you send us some of that nice New Zealand autumnal weather that you've been having recently ......................?



Update:  It did eventually stop sleeting and the clouds rolled back to reveal a white-topped Benson Knott.  Current outside temperature - 7°C .
