Rooftop raspberries

Dropped round for a (Portuguese-Polish) coffee at friends who have a wonderful rooftop terrace in Brussels. Way up there, they have a raspberry plant that is winding it's way up the chimney (tasted and approved), not to mention an olive tree, honey suckle, lots of herbs, etc.

I was dismayed to learn that slugs and snails can climb up four flights since I thought it was only in my little back garden that they could do gymnastic leaps on to every plant.

I came home with leaves to dry for herbal tea, dill seed heads to plant and a small honeysuckle plant to brighten up a corner of my garden.
