officially the firt proper summers day of 2012!

hot summer days are like buses at the moment....you don't see one for ages and then 3 arrive at the same time! thankfully the weather reporters hype paid off and today has been beautiful, in fact it's been a perfect end to 2 weeks holiday.

woke at 6.30am and up straight away (wonder if that will be the same tomorrow, or will i be hitting snooze, then snooze again!!) top breakfast outside in the early sunshine, and then off to 49.

i'm nearly at the stage where i'm hanging up my paint brushes for good. set myself a time limit of working to 1pm, so i could at least enjoy a few hours off. finished on time, then shower and off to do a mammoth food shop - seems like ages since i've done that. momentarily lost my car keys (mum was sat on them), and then nearly filled up with the wrong fuel! (brain must be addled by all this sunshine!).

home and though i said i would relax, i repainted mums bird bath, and then stripped down the stair rail, back to bare wood. do you know how expensive rails are!! want to buy another one, so mum has 2 down her stairs - they are v expensive, just for a pole!

finished my jobs at 7pm and then cooked a top sirloin steak - perfect end to a holiday! I've had a glorious 2 weeks off, feel in a good position re 49, and now ready to go back to work and earn some dollar!

but just before the holiday ends, i'm enjoying a rare evening sat outside and a small G&T!
