The last roses of summer

This vase of roses has saved my bacon for a blip. I picked these last few roses and put them in last night for the meeting I had here. They fill the room with such a nice scent.
Today was to be spent on the computer catching up on all my PSNZ correspondence. Oh no a very kind 86 year old came tofix my mail box . It turned into an all day job digging out shrub roots, drilling into concrete etc. you name it we did it.
I also meantime took a mass of autumn rubbish out of the garden. Tonight really tired however God willing there is another day tomorrow.
