Cruise ships aplenty

Shame that the day started off so murky when you are a fan of big ships.  And when you live and work in a seafaring city, who isn’t? 
Unless you were trying to drive through the city or get to the city centre and had to cope with chaotic traffic queues.
Yet for the aficionados of ships, with no less than five cruise liners in the port today was bliss — three of the ships were the Cunard Queens, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2.
Unfortunately morning mists and rain did its best to obscure the sheer majestic lines of the Queens, and the two others.
But we did manage to get close enough to Celebrity Eclipse and behind it, Aidasol, and then in the distance, Queen Victoria.
All five ships sailed again late afternoon and this evening.

But tomorrow’s another day, with the P&O liners Oriana and Arcadia both due in port.
