Coffee Break

Took time out today for an espresso break in the sun.  It happened that it was my first opportunity to return to my favourite coffee shop after a four month break.
Of course, it was somewhat re-assuring that the staff should remark on my absence for so long and were clearly concerned to learn that my absence had included a spell of being very much under the weather.
But the sunshine alone was sufficient to raise the spirits, not to mention the resumption of a daily ‘double-espresso,’ whether taking it inside or out.

For today I preferred to take my coffee inside Arrosto di Caffe, but with a few more sunshine hours I can guarantee that I will go Mediterranean and relax with my coffee on the pavement outside. I know I will never recapture the atmosphere of the Champs Elysee or Via Roma.   But I can dream!
