Nicky and her Nikon

This could only be in England...

Where else in the world would there be a cricket match taking place against the beautiful backdrop of a 15th century country house! This is in Knole Park - the oldest parts of Knole House were built in 1456 and the house has a 600 year history. Originally being an Archbishop's palace, it passed through royal hands to the Sackville family who have inhabited the house since 1603. The National Trust acquired the house in 1946 with the majority of the rooms being leased back to the Sackville family.

Gavin and I were in the area so we popped in for a quick walk around the park, which is huge - it includes a golf course and many herds of deer.

Now a quiet night in, probably enjoying a glass of Prosecco while we watch A Bridge of Spies on TV.
